Sudan Protesters Hold Friday Prayers at Sit-In

Thousands of Sudanese protesters gathered for Friday prayers at the sit-in site outside the army command complex in Khartoum, where they have been camped since April.
For the first time since the latest clashes between protesters and the armed forces, the Imam Sheikh Nasreddine Fraih praised the Sudanese armed forces and urged the protesters to respect them.
Violence erupted again near the sit-in outside the military headquarters in Khartoum on Wednesday evening, leaving fourteen wounded, according to the Sudanese Doctors’ Committee. (AP)
